About

I've been interested in creating for as long as I can remember.

It started with small gifts for my mother—little drawings, cards and small sculptures made with different materials. I loved sitting and cutting and pasting small pieces of paper, drawing and writing on them. I didn’t have expensive art supplies or brand-name colored pencils, but I used anything I could find, creating compositions that, in my mind, were beautiful.

ABOUT ME

I remember one piece in particular that I made in the living room, sitting on the floor. It was a small book made from pastel pink cardboard paper, with a drawing of my mother on the cover, made with a shiny blue pen. Now that I think about it it was like my first zine: a small pink handmade book with drawings and messages for my mom. She put it on the fridge and I would look at it and feel proud of my work.

What started with cardboard paper and glitter gel pens has developed into a strong interest in creative practice, exploring many drawing, painting and sculpting techniques and arranging objects to create works of art. I’ve studied with different teachers and at various local schools in Ciudad Juárez, Chihuahua, the place I was born. My interests span many topics and styles and I take a lot of inspiration from art history, its different periods, and the artists I admire.

Today, I combine my experience in art and my love for creating with what I’ve learned about coding and computer science from my education at UNAM in Mexico.

My art practice continues to evolve, it incorporates handmade and digital zines, oil painting, watercolor, drawing, printmaking, web design, prototype design, 2D and 3D digital art, video game design, among other things. My purpose is to create beautiful visual work that can be delivered as a product, a design, an artwork, or an immersive visual experience.

I’m passionate about art and its intersection with other disciplines, and I’m eager to continue learning and exploring new possibilities to expand my creative practice.
